Crystal Hewitt
Office Manager
A WV native, Crystal has been in NC since 1994 where she started in dentistry, as chairside assistant. She became an Office Manager in1996. Dentistry has been her best career ever!
She enjoys helping patients overcome any obstacles that would keep them from attaining a smile that they always dreamed of. She started with Third Creek Dentistry in 2014 and thinks they have the best team and patients ever!
Crystal is married with a grown daughter and son, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons, who are the love of her life! She also has a beautiful Cavapoo, Samson Brulee, who used to be the office greeter at TCD. She enjoys traveling with her family whether it's cruising or to the beach. She considers herself 'one blessed woman'.
Jennifer Pennington
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jennifer is a registered dental hygienist who has worked with us at Third Creek Dentistry since May of 2015. She graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She then decided to continue her education & graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene in 2016. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association & enjoys providing patients with the highest level of care.
Jennifer is extremely proficient at digital x-rays, gum disease therapy & preventive dental hygiene. She enjoys educating the public on the importance of good oral health in conjunction with their overall health.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys running, reading & spending time with her family & two dogs.
Megan Moore
Registered Dental Hygienist
Megan joined the Third Creek Dentistry team in January 2018. She graduated in 2000 from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in dental hygiene.
As a registered dental hygienist, she enjoys building relationships & educating patients about the value of maintaining oral health. Megan’s passion is shared by her sister, who is a dentist in Pennsylvania, & their mother, who also has a background in dentistry.
In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons & two dogs at the baseball field.
Ashley Furr
Insurance Coordinator
Ashley joined the practice in June, 2012, and has been in dentistry for over 12 years. Although she is trained & qualified as a dental assistant, Ashley prefers to assist patients at the front desk. Her training as a dental assistant allows her to clearly explain treatment plans & answer patients’ questions.
She is always available to assist with insurance concerns & scheduling appointments. Her down-to-earth personality & friendly demeanor help to create a welcoming & comfortable environment to patients.
Ashley is a native of Salisbury & enjoys spending time with her husband & son.
Laura Cotney
Certified Dental Assistant
Laura graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 1989 & later received training in conscious sedation & oral surgery. She earned her dental assisting certification from the Dental Assisting National Board.
Laura loves to help patients feel at ease & achieve their dental health goals, all while educating them about the many ways that a healthy smile can improve their lives. Beyond her career, she has dedicated time to serve at the Community Care Clinic in Salisbury.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys gardening, camping, making stained glass & spending time with her three English Bulldog.
Penni Durant
Scheduling Coordinator
Penni graduated with an Associates degree in Math and Science from Tompkins Cortland, CC along with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Gaston college.
After 25 years in Veterinary Medicine, Penni decided it was time for a change. Welcome our new Scheduling Coordinator here at Third Creek Dentistry. Penni will greet you warmly and answer any questions you might have about your appointment. If you are feeling a bit anxious, she will set you at ease.
Penni is a resident of Cleveland, NC and is very active with her husband and two boys.
